Senior Revenue Accountant

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant in United States.

This role is part of a fast-growing, technology-driven organization operating at the intersection of finance, SaaS, and private markets infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing the full revenue accounting lifecycle, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606 while supporting a scalable and well-controlled financial close process. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Billing, Deal Desk, Sales, FP&A, and Systems to strengthen order-to-cash operations and improve financial transparency. You will play a key role in maintaining revenue integrity across complex subscription and service-based contracts. The environment is dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on process improvement and operational excellence. This is an opportunity to contribute to a modern finance function that leverages data, systems, and AI to scale efficiently.

Accountabilities:
  • Perform contract reviews under ASC 606, including identification of performance obligations, SSP considerations, and analysis of contract modifications.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue recognition schedules, including deferred revenue roll-forwards, contract assets/liabilities, and revenue waterfalls.
  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to revenue, including journal entries, accruals, and cutoff procedures.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related accounts and resolve variances in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Draft and support technical accounting memos for non-routine transactions and revenue recognition assessments.
  • Conduct flux and variance analysis on revenue and related accounts, providing clear explanations for management reporting.
  • Partner with Billing, FP&A, and Sales teams to resolve invoicing issues and ensure accurate order-to-cash processes.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, including SOX compliance documentation and control execution.
  • Assist in revenue reporting, forecasting inputs, and ad hoc financial analysis for leadership and FP&A teams.
  • Identify and support process improvements and automation initiatives within revenue accounting systems and workflows.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue operations with strong exposure to ASC 606.
  • Strong experience with month-end close, deferred revenue analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS or subscription-based revenue models is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret contracts and financial data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting audits and working within SOX-controlled environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP and revenue systems (NetSuite ARM or similar is a plus).
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bonus: experience using AI tools to accelerate accounting workflows, contract analysis, or reporting.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000, plus equity eligibility.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage for employees and dependents.
  • Mental wellness support, life insurance, and fertility/family planning benefits.
  • Flexible time off policy, paid holidays, and family/medical leave programs.
  • Retirement savings plans to support long-term financial security.
  • Annual professional development stipend to support continuous learning.
  • Home office and technology setup allowance for remote employees.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth, AI-enabled finance organization.
