Staff Product Designer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Product Designer in Canada. The role is with Jerry.ai.

This is a high-impact Staff Product Designer role focused on shaping the future of an AI-powered consumer experience in the car ownership space. You will play a key role in defining how millions of users interact with complex, high-stakes workflows such as insurance, maintenance, and vehicle management. The role blends hands-on product design execution with strategic influence, as you help elevate design craft, define scalable systems, and shape the overall product experience. You will work across 0→1 initiatives and mature product areas, ensuring clarity, usability, and visual excellence at every touchpoint. Partnering closely with product, engineering, research, and data teams, you will turn insights into intuitive and impactful user experiences. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where design is central to product strategy and company growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead end-to-end design for key product areas across insurance, maintenance, safety, and other core user journeys.
  • Drive 0→1 product initiatives, translating complex user needs into simple, intuitive, and scalable experiences.
  • Partner with Product, Research, Engineering, and Data teams to identify opportunities and turn insights into high-impact design solutions.
  • Design and refine user experiences that improve engagement, retention, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Build, evolve, and maintain scalable design systems to ensure consistency and visual excellence across platforms.
  • Apply AI thoughtfully to enhance usability, personalization, and product efficiency.
  • Advocate for design quality and craft, raising the bar for UX clarity, speed, and visual storytelling across the organization.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in product design, ideally across both mobile and web consumer products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX thinking, visual design craft, and shipped large-scale products.
  • Proven experience leading projects end-to-end, from discovery and research through to launch and iteration.
  • Experience building and evolving design systems in close collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with high ownership and rapid execution cycles.
  • Bonus: experience in marketplaces, fintech, mobility, insurance, or similarly complex consumer domains.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $190,000 to $230,000 USD, plus equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage for employees and families.
  • Paid time off, paid parental leave, and flexible wellness benefits.
  • Retirement savings plans (401K in the U.S. or RRSP in Canada) with employer matching.
  • Remote-friendly work environment across multiple North American locations.
  • Opportunity to work on a high-scale AI-powered consumer product used by millions.
  • Strong culture focused on craft, ownership, and building impactful user experiences.
