This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative labour mobility initiatives that support the successful relocation and integration of skilled refugees into Canadian communities, with a focus on Atlantic Canada. You will play a key role in connecting international talent with local employers facing labour shortages, while helping build inclusive, welcoming environments for newcomers. Working within a mission-driven organization, you will support end-to-end immigration and settlement coordination, stakeholder engagement, and program delivery. You will collaborate with employers, settlement agencies, and international partners to ensure smooth transitions for candidates entering Canada. The position combines operational coordination, community engagement, and data-driven program support. It is ideal for someone passionate about social impact, inclusion, and building sustainable pathways for economic integration.

Accountabilities:
  • Coordinate immigration-related processes, including reviewing and submitting forms, tracking milestones, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Support pre-departure preparation for candidates in collaboration with international teams, enhancing employment readiness for the Canadian context.
  • Assist employers and partners with international recruitment processes, including tracking employment offers and administrative requirements.
  • Develop and coordinate newcomer arrival plans in collaboration with employers and settlement stakeholders.
  • Engage and support economic development partners, community organizations, and settlement agencies to strengthen welcoming community initiatives.
  • Design and deliver tools, training, and resources that support community and stakeholder involvement in settlement activities.
  • Monitor and support ongoing settlement needs of beneficiaries, including addressing service gaps and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate program records, contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, and support reporting and learning initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with employers, partners, and service providers to support successful integration outcomes.
Requirements:
  • University degree in social sciences, refugee studies, international development, business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in newcomer settlement, refugee sponsorship, employer engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian immigration systems, labour standards, and newcomer integration processes.
  • Experience working with data management, program coordination, and cross-sector partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills in cross-cultural environments.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and strong overall digital literacy.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing effectively to a team.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • French and/or Arabic language skills are considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive and socially impactful work.
Benefits:
  • Remote-first work model with flexible working hours
  • 35-hour workweek promoting work-life balance
  • 4 weeks of annual vacation plus paid sick and special leave days
  • Comprehensive health and dental coverage fully employer-paid
  • Group RRSP contributions starting from day one
  • Home office equipment allowance
  • Strong focus on professional development and meaningful, mission-driven work
  • Inclusive and supportive multicultural work environment
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to refugee integration and labour mobility innovation
