Accountabilities:

The Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for leading analytics delivery, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making across commercial functions.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of BI analysts to build a high-performance and collaborative analytics culture
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple analytics initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of dashboards, reports, and insights
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights
  • Oversee development of dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all reporting outputs
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and deliver business-relevant analytics solutions
  • Drive standardization, governance, and documentation of analytics processes and data definitions
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and scalability in reporting workflows
  • Communicate insights through clear, executive-ready storytelling and recommendations
  • Monitor team performance and continuously improve analytics quality and business impact
Requirements

This role requires strong leadership in analytics, deep technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business outcomes in a commercial environment.

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, preferably within commercial, sales, or life sciences/CRO environments
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles managing business intelligence or analytics teams
  • Strong ability to translate complex datasets into clear insights and business recommendations
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving stakeholder alignment
  • Strong understanding of commercial operations, market dynamics, and data-driven decision-making
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire
  • Strong Excel expertise including advanced formulas, modeling, Power Query, and automation
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce for commercial analytics and reporting
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for executive and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder management abilities
