Position Summary:
The Clinical Quality Nurse Manager is responsible for leading initiatives that ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement across all nursing units. This role combines clinical expertise with strategic oversight to minimize risk, enhance patient outcomes, and foster a culture of excellence in neurorehabilitation care.
Position Requirements:
- Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Current Colorado RN license and current BLS for the Health Care Provider certification required. Certified Professionain Healthcare Quality (CPHQ )or similar certification preferred.
- Education: BSN required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in clinical nursing; 2+ years in quality, risk, or leadership roles. Expertise in neurorehabilitation and patient-centered care preferred.
- Skills & Abilities: Excellent organization and customer service skills. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly while meeting established deadlines. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel. Advanced team-building, conflict resolution, and communication skills, both verbal and written required. Work collaboratively with other departments and physicians. Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, dependability, and strong attention to detail both mechanically and technically. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position. General knowledge of extracting information from database systems preferred. Ability to lead change and foster collaboration across disciplines. Possess above average problem-solving skills, judgment, and flexibility. Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications with advanced ability in Excel.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement programs aligned with Craig Hospital’s mission and Magnet standards.
- Coordinate and oversee hospital-wide regulatory readiness activities to ensure ongoing compliance with TJC, CMS, and CDPHE requirements.
- Identify and mitigate clinical risks through proactive assessment and corrective action planning.
- Conduct audits, tracers, and root cause analyses for adverse events, near misses, and sentinel events.
- Oversee RL Datix reporting and ensure timely follow-up on patient safety events.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for patient safety, infection control, and quality outcomes.
- Conduct purposeful and routine rounding across all shifts to observe processes, assess variation, and identify performance gaps.
- Use real-time inquiry and coaching grounded in Lean principles to identify root causes and reinforce standard work.
- Partner with frontline staff to develop and test countermeasures (A3 thinking), driving sustained improvements in quality, safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
- Prepare for and participate in accreditation surveys (e.g., Joint Commission, Magnet).
- Conduct environmental rounds to ensure compliance with environment of care and life safety standards.

Pay Range:$90,334.40-$116,147.20/year
