This role combines technical expertise in chemistry or chemical engineering with customer-facing responsibilities in a field-based commercial environment. You will act as a key link between customers and the sales organization, ensuring high-quality technical support while contributing to customer retention and business growth. The position involves regular on-site visits to clients, where you will monitor processes, gather technical data, and support optimal product usage. You will also collaborate closely with sales engineers to identify opportunities for expansion and new customer acquisition. In addition, you will play an important role in ensuring customer satisfaction by promptly addressing technical issues and quality concerns. This is a hands-on role suited for professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of technical service and sales support in an industrial environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical service support to customers while actively contributing to sales growth and customer retention within your assigned region.
- Provide on-site technical service and support to existing customers within the assigned territory
- Assist sales engineers in retaining current customers and strengthening business relationships
- Support the development of new customers through technical assistance and field expertise
- Monitor and report chemical consumption, bath performance data, and competitor activity
- Identify, document, and promptly escalate quality issues to ensure quick resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer satisfaction and process efficiency
- Ensure proper usage of products through regular technical guidance and field visits
- Gather customer feedback and contribute insights to improve product and service offerings
This position requires a strong foundation in chemistry or chemical engineering, combined with field experience in technical service or customer-facing industrial roles.
- BSc in Chemistry or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
- 3–6 years of experience in technical service, industrial support, or related roles
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and industrial applications
- Ability to analyze technical data and generate clear field reports
- Experience working in customer-facing or field service environments
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales and technical teams
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and responsiveness
- Willingness to travel frequently for on-site customer support within the region
