This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who can balance strategic vision with deep technical credibility while leading organizational growth and change.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with product and business goals, ensuring scalable architecture, technical excellence, and operational reliability.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery excellence, ensuring predictable execution, high-quality releases, and continuous improvement across engineering processes and systems.
  • Partner with product, design, data, and operations leadership to align technical execution with product vision and customer outcomes.
  • Guide system architecture and design decisions across web, mobile, and cloud infrastructure, providing hands-on technical leadership for complex engineering trade-offs.
  • Lead the adoption and integration of AI-driven development tools and agentic workflows to improve engineering velocity, quality assurance, and developer productivity.
  • Oversee engineering operations including planning, resourcing, headcount strategy, and budget management to ensure efficient use of technical and financial resources.
  • Establish strong engineering practices for scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability across all systems and teams.
  • Drive organizational change and transformation initiatives, improving team structure, workflows, and engineering culture to support growth at scale.
  • Champion a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high performance across globally distributed teams.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with a strong track record in technical leadership roles, including VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing and scaling engineering organizations of 30–60+ engineers, including engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in system design, architecture, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience with modern technology stacks including web (e.g., React), backend systems (e.g., Ruby on Rails or similar), mobile (iOS/Android), and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering organizations through growth, change, and operational maturity improvements.
  • Experience implementing or scaling AI-powered development workflows, automation tools, or developer productivity systems.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align engineering priorities with product strategy and company goals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and organizational planning in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Strong change management experience with a track record of improving engineering culture, execution discipline, and technical standards.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary estimated between $240,000 and $270,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility.
  • Equity/stock options as part of the total compensation package.
  • Fully remote work flexibility across eligible U.S. states.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Flexible PTO and paid holidays.
  • Health, life, and disability insurance coverage.
  • Home office and internet stipend to support remote work productivity.
  • Access to modern tools and AI-enabled workflows in an innovation-driven engineering environment.
  • Opportunity to lead large-scale engineering transformation and shape the future of a fast-growing technology organization.
  • Inclusive, mission-driven culture focused on collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
