Position SummaryThe Truck Driver is responsible for the timely pickup and delivery of materials to and from customer locations while maintaining safety, professionalism, and compliance with all transportation regulations.
Requirements: Responsibilities- Pick up and deliver products to and from customer locations efficiently and safely
- Complete pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle readiness
- Properly position and drop trailers at loading docks
- Complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation
- Report trip delays, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately
- Verify load weights and compare against Bills of Lading (B.O.L.)
- Comply with all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Maintain trailer cleanliness, including sweeping trailers at the end of the day
- Represent Chem-Plate Industries professionally at all customer locations
- Current Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to make sound decisions and work independently
- Flexible and adaptable to changing job duties
- Diesel repair certification or equivalent work experience
- Ability to repair power equipment
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to regularly lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to perform physical work associated with loading, unloading, and equipment inspections
