Job Description
Position: Repairs Technician I
Department: 10-245 Wadsworth Rental Depot
Reports to: Rental Operations Manager
Location: Wooster, OH
JOB SUMMARY
Performs routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on rental equipment under supervision to support safe, reliable, and timely equipment operation. Assists with preventative maintenance, component replacement, equipment preparation, and standard repair procedures while following established safety and maintenance guidelines. Maintains service documentation and supports equipment readiness through inspections, cleaning, and general upkeep to help ensure equipment is properly prepared for rental deployment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Complete basic repairs and component replacement
- Prepare equipment for rental deployment
- Component replacement (motors, seals, bearings, hoses, etc.)
- Inspection checklists and cleaning
- Follow safety and maintenance procedures
- Maintain service documentation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Technical training or mechanical background preferred
- 0-2 years equipment repair experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical aptitude
- Safety awareness
- Reliability and quality workmanship

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Office and travel have moderate noise levels. Machine/Product demonstrations and customer visits can have loud noise levels.
