Job Description

Description: Compassion in Action: Bridging the gap between the courtroom & the community

Make a real impact on the justice and recovery system by joining the Merrimack County Drug Court Program as a Care Coordinator. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including the Recovery Court Judge and Coordinator—to guide participants toward long-term recovery, stable housing, and sustainable employment.

As a vital member of the Recovery Court Team, you’ll do more than just manage cases; you’ll be a mentor, advocate, and resource navigator. You will help participants rebuild their lives by connecting them with employment, housing, and healthcare, while monitoring their progress through the criminal justice and treatment systems.

This role offers a unique opportunity to directly change lives by breaking the cycle of addiction and incarceration. You will be a cornerstone of a highly functional, supportive, and dedicated court team focused on rehabilitation and community safety.

Why Join Us?

At Riverbend, you are not just an employee; you are part of a team committed to strengthening our community. We offer a supportive, inclusive, and positive work culture where your efforts are recognized and valued. We offer a supportive work environment where your contributions truly matter. We also have many opportunities for professional growth and development through training and certification programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Holistic Case Management: Develop personalized long-term and weekly case plans addressing medical, mental, and dental health.
  • Participant Guidance: Screen individuals for program eligibility, conduct orientations, and coordinate treatment schedules with participants.
  • Resource Connection: Assist with housing procurement, public assistance, financial education, and job training/placement with area employers.
  • Progress Monitoring: Supervise drug/alcohol screening, maintain regular contact to ensure accountability, and track data.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings and provide courtroom updates on participant progress.

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, ethical practice, and the ability to work independently or on a team.
  • Familiarity with 12-step/AA philosophies and evidence-based practices (EBP/ASI) is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse population.
  • Reliability, patience, and a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • An empathetic heart and an enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their support networks.
Requirements:

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or Human Services
  • Experience: Two or more (2+) years of relevant work experience.
  • Certifications: Current Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) or the willingness to pursue certification.
  • Continuing Education: A minimum of twelve (12) hours of training in substance abuse and criminal justice issues (or the willingness to pursue it).
  • Requirements: A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance with minimum coverage of 100,00/300,00 are essential.

Outstanding Benefits & Perks:

  • Competitive wages are $18.50 to $24 per hour depending on level of education and experience.
  • Clinical supervision for licensure available.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual and 8 Paid Holidays.
  • 403(b) retirement plan with company match.
  • Tuition reimbursement and training opportunities to grow your career.
  • Approved site for Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
