Legacy Solutions, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly motivated Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher specializing in students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for one of our charter school partners located on the Westside and Northside of Jacksonville, Florida.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with exceptional needs and the ability to create a structured, supportive, engaging, and individualized learning environment where every student has an opportunity to succeed.

Position Summary

The ESE/Autism Spectrum Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students with autism and other exceptional learning needs. The teacher will work collaboratively with school leadership, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and other support professionals to address students' academic, behavioral, communication, social, and functional needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and deliver individualized, standards-aligned instruction based on students' academic and developmental needs.
Implement students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure required accommodations, modifications, and services are provided.
Develop measurable instructional goals and monitor student progress.
Provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based strategies appropriate for students with autism.
Create and maintain a structured, predictable, sensory-aware, and supportive classroom environment.
Utilize visual supports, schedules, routines, positive reinforcement, and other appropriate instructional strategies.
Support students in developing communication, social-emotional, behavioral, academic, and independent-living skills as appropriate.
Implement behavior intervention and positive behavior-support strategies consistent with students' plans and school procedures.
Collect and maintain accurate data regarding student performance, behavior, and progress toward IEP goals.
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with parents/guardians and appropriate school personnel.
Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and support staff, providing appropriate classroom direction and guidance.
Communicate regularly and professionally with families, administrators, teachers, and student-support professionals.
Maintain all required ESE documentation and student records in accordance with applicable school requirements.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Florida ESE certification or eligibility for appropriate certification strongly preferred.
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other exceptionalities preferred.
Knowledge of IEP implementation, differentiated instruction, accommodations, modifications, progress monitoring, and positive behavior supports.
Strong classroom-management and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, families, and related-service providers.
Strong communication, patience, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
Technology skills and ability to utilize digital instructional and student-data systems.
Background & Compliance Requirements

Successful candidates must meet all applicable employment and school requirements, including background screening and Level 2 fingerprinting prior to placement.

Candidates must also successfully complete all required Legacy Solutions and charter school onboarding and compliance requirements.
