Job Description
Reporting to the Quality and Field Service Manager, the Field Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Field Service, including preparing materials, completing work packets, communicating with transit properties and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) field service personnel, and maintaining third-party contracting groups.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Coordinate, schedule and expedite field service work to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all materials needed for projects are ordered and necessary tools are in-house.
- Coordinate activities of service personnel and third-party providers engaged in the installation, start-up and servicing of equipment and parts in the field. Provide travel guidance for Field Technicians, including border travel paperwork.
- Accurately complete work order packets for field campaigns.
- Respond to communications from transit properties and OEM field service personnel in timely manner and initiate problem-solving solutions.
- Maintain an effective third-party contracting group at OEM facilities to facilitate the negotiation of contracts, evaluation of contractors, coordination of training for contractors, and assistance with trouble-shooting issues. May include site visits.
- Lead projects to improve Field Service Department, including updates to work instructions.
- As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, customer service and quality to coordinate actions and events to service our customers.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related program is strongly desired.
- Three to five years of mechanical repair experience is preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel as needed. (U.S. and Canada) – May be short notice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in blueprint interpretation and executing installation instructions.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to implement change.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis.
- Proficient in making travel arrangements.
- Good problem-solving skills.
