About the Role:

As a Part-time Banquet Server in Canada, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and special occasions. Your primary focus will be to provide attentive and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally. You will collaborate closely with the banquet team to set up event spaces, serve food and beverages, and maintain cleanliness throughout the event. This role demands flexibility, as you will work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support diverse functions. Ultimately, your contribution will enhance the overall success of events by creating a welcoming and seamless service environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a banquet or event setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or equipment as needed.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in food handling or hospitality service.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced banquet or catering environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist diverse guest populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and place settings.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, adhering to established service standards.
  • Assist in clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the banquet area during and after events.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of service.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and resolve any service issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
