  • Use smartphone/handheld apps for GPS, communication, and basic reporting
  • Follow SOPs with a "no shortcuts" safety mindset; report incidents/safety concerns immediately
  • Play an important and respected role in keeping Amazon's commitment to exceed customer expectations and deliver on time and at the right place

How success is measured

This role is measured on safety first, then consistent execution. Key KPIs include:

  • Safety: preventable incidents, at-fault collisions, injuries, property damage, safety event trends, and completion/quality of safety training

  • Equipment readiness: pre-/post-trip compliance, defect reporting, downtime trends
How the team supports you
  • Hands-on owner support (in-person + remote): You'll work with an involved owner with experience across last mile, freight, and medical transport. The owner supports drivers with clear expectations, culture and standards, issue escalation, and back-office coordination (payroll, insurance, and admin support).
  • 24/7 remote dispatcher coverage: You'll have access to a dispatcher team around the clock, so you have someone to reach while on the road for route updates, issue escalation, and operational support.

Contact: Text or call (209) 429-5085 and apply via the Fountain link or Indeed. You will not be employed by Amazon. Instead, you will work directly for Ready Steady Cargo Inc, a local transportation company that partners with Amazon.
