Responsibilities

Are you looking for a role to solve complex technology challenges using cloud technologies and broaden your business acumen? This is an exciting opportunity to up-skill in a variety of technologies and play a vital role in the re-design of the My Accounts website that allows our State Farm customers to manage their accounts and services.

Our Digital Experience area is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join an experienced agile team where there is opportunity to learn new technologies and support the My Accounts, Migration Tracker, and Traffic Controller applications. You will also assist with our application’s re-architecture for resilience and performance improvements as we move to a more unified platform. As a lead software engineer on our team, you’ll also be helping the team produce the highest quality software by collaborating on design, knowledge sharing, and participating in code reviews.

Qualifications

We Are Seeking Candidates With:

• Experience in some of the following programming languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, React, Angular, Kotlin, Node.js)
• Full Stack Development
• AWS services and architecture
• OpenTofu experience/knowledge
• Spring Boot
• SOAP/Restful webservices Development

Additional

• Experience in software engineering topics, including classes, functions, security, version control, CI/CD, and unit tests
• JSON, XML, Spring MVC, CSS, Junit
• Familiar with test automation
• Version control tools experience such as GIT
• 3+ years of production experience, coding enterprise-grade applications and services
• Work experience in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and languages

Our Benefits

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

• Potential starting salary range: $90,000 - $140,000
  • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
  • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
• Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
