This role sits within a fast-paced diagnostics laboratory environment focused on delivering accurate, high-quality testing that directly supports patient care and clinical decision-making. The position plays a key part in ensuring the reliability of hematology systems and laboratory outputs through rigorous quality control procedures, equipment monitoring, and technical troubleshooting. You will work closely with laboratory teams to maintain compliance with established protocols and ensure consistent, precise results. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical laboratory expertise, and the ability to manage multiple operational tasks in a regulated setting. - Perform routine laboratory testing and execute quality control procedures to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with established standards.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain hematology systems and laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
- Conduct calibration, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical or performance-related issues following defined laboratory protocols.
- Support daily laboratory operations by performing tests and delivering data in alignment with standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure timely completion of departmental objectives and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of testing activities, results, and quality control measures.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and laboratory quality systems at all times.
- Associate’s degree required; minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical laboratory technician or technologist.
- Experience working in a clinical laboratory environment, preferably within hematology or microbiology.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, computer systems, and diagnostic testing workflows.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, calibration processes, and laboratory compliance standards.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and follow structured workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 5–10 lbs.
- Experience with slide reading, microscopic evaluation, and laboratory diagnostics is a plus.
- Knowledge of FDA QSR, cGMP, and ISO standards is considered an advantage.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $50,000 to $85,000 USD, depending on experience.
