This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a ServiceNow Senior Software Engineer - ITOM based in India.
This role sits within a high-performing global ServiceNow delivery team focused on designing and enhancing enterprise-grade ITOM solutions at scale. You will play a key role in implementing CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping capabilities that directly improve visibility, reliability, and automation across complex IT environments. Acting as both a technical expert and delivery contributor, you will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions. The position involves hands-on development, integration design, and configuration of advanced ServiceNow modules in large enterprise settings. You will also collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure consistency, performance, and adherence to best practices. - Lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow ITOM solutions, including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and best practices.
- Develop and configure ServiceNow components such as business rules, client scripts, flow designer workflows, scripted REST APIs, and integrations with external systems.
- Implement and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party platforms using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and cloud-to-cloud approaches.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical SMEs, and end users to gather requirements, define solutions, and validate technical designs.
- Support impact analysis, service mapping configuration, event management, and UAT activities across complex environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues, manage update sets, and ensure stability and consistency across ServiceNow instances.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and ensure adherence to coding standards and governance practices.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience with strong expertise in ITOM modules, including CMDB, Discovery, and integrations. You should have a solid background in ServiceNow scripting, platform configuration, and enterprise system integration, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 4+ years of ServiceNow experience with focus on ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, MID Server).
- Strong experience building and supporting integrations using REST, SOAP, and data extraction methods (JDBC, ODBC, ETL).
- Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Scripted REST APIs).
- Experience with Flow Designer, automation logic, and platform configuration.
- Ability to design technical solutions, create documentation, and support UAT cycles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments and operational best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications preferred; ITIL Foundation is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
