Job Description
Job Overview:
Responsible for providing accounting support and day-to-day office activities. Keys information into the general ledger, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable and receivable duties, and assists accounting personnel.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of general accounting support tasks
- Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable)
- Perform data entry of payables, receivables, and various spreadsheets. Enter data into QuickBooks
- Assists with accounting and cash management services; analyzes and prepares accounting reports
- Reconcile statements and review inputted data for accuracy
- Deposit funds to the bank
- Collect and verify employee receipts with credit card statements. Report data onto spreadsheets.
- Backup customer service/sales when needed.
- Work together with office team to support our high paced work environment
- All other duties as assigned by management

- Ability to review, interpret, and evaluate company documents

- Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Education & Requirements:
- 2-year accounting degree preferred
- 1-3 years accounting experience
- High computer skills, including spreadsheet, presentation, word processing, email, schedule management, and associated software
- Proficiency with working knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts and principles, good with numbers
- Ability to work independently and with teams
Physical Requirements:
- Able to perform regular bending, twisting, and lifting to shelve
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and push and/or pull at times
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
