Position Description:
This role provides financial and administrative support to the QSF Administration teams and helps manage financial activity within Qualified Settlement Fund (QSF) Trust accounts. With an emphasis on accuracy, organization, responsiveness, and follow-through, this role supports daily settlement fund operations, payment activity, account reconciliation, financial data management, and related banking and tax processes. The role works closely with the QSF and Accounting teams to ensure financial activity is properly tracked, issues are identified and resolved, and time-sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and maintain QSF master files for all QSF Trust account activity.
- Review and organize financial data to support settlement administration processes.
- Coordinate with the QSF team to ensure proper issuance and execution of payment submissions to attorneys, claimants, vendors, and other necessary parties.
- Verify and maintain secure financial information, including financial account information and payment details.
- Provide financial and administrative support to the Finance and Qualified Settlement Fund Administration teams.
- Track daily settlement fund operations and identify, report, and resolve issues as needed.
- Audit and interpret financial data and report or escalate issues as appropriate.
- Assist with banking relationships and the establishment of QSFs and related accounts.
- Manage and project upcoming disbursements to support positive cash flow.
- Assist with quarterly and annual QSF 1099 tax filings
- Handle confidential financial information and materials with discretion and professionalism.
- Contribute to a collaborative, service-oriented environment and support team priorities as business needs evolve.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a related field.
- Working knowledge of banking practices, rules, and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
- Professionalism and discretion when working with various stakeholders, time-sensitive materials, and confidential information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel (including Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, and V/XLOOKUP), and Outlook.
