This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Vice President of SIU Compliance & Investigations based in the United States.
This is an executive-level opportunity to shape the strategy and operational direction of a specialized investigations and compliance function.
You’ll lead teams responsible for SIU compliance, investigative operations, regulatory readiness, and client service excellence.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of performance, risk, quality, and operational execution.
You’ll work closely with executive leaders and commercial teams to strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
As a senior subject matter expert, you’ll engage with insurers, third-party administrators, self-insured organizations, legal partners, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
The position calls for a leader who can scale teams and programs while maintaining rigorous compliance in a highly regulated environment.
It offers significant influence over organizational capabilities, service expansion, and long-term business performance.
- Set the strategic direction for SIU compliance and investigative operations, establishing clear priorities, operating standards, and measurable objectives.
- Lead and develop high-performing investigative teams through workforce planning, leadership development, performance management, and strong operational discipline.
- Drive performance across revenue, productivity, turnaround times, quality, client service, and other key operational metrics.
- Oversee SIU compliance programs, including anti-fraud plans, regulatory reporting, mandatory referrals, annual submissions, and state-specific fraud prevention requirements.
- Identify regulatory, operational, and client risks proactively and implement controls, policies, and process improvements to strengthen compliance and execution.
- Partner with executive leadership, sales, account management, and operations teams to identify growth opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and expand investigative and compliance services.
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert and representative with carriers, TPAs, self-insured clients, legal partners, regulators, and relevant industry stakeholders.
- Translate organizational strategy into clear execution plans, ensuring teams remain accountable for business and service objectives.
- Support proposals, contract strategy, service expansion, and strategic client growth initiatives where investigative and compliance expertise is required.
- Continuously evaluate operating models, investigative capabilities, and compliance processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and professional experience, with 15+ years of leadership experience in investigations, insurance SIU, compliance, operations, or a closely related field.
- 7+ years of experience leading managers, investigative teams, or complex operational functions, preferably in a senior or executive capacity.
- Deep knowledge of SIU compliance, claims investigations, anti-fraud programs, regulatory reporting, and insurance fraud prevention requirements.
- Proven ability to translate strategic priorities into effective execution while establishing accountability against operational and commercial objectives.
- Demonstrated experience scaling SIU compliance programs, investigative services, client-facing operations, or comparable specialized functions.
- Experience developing compliance controls, anti-fraud plans, regulatory reporting processes, training programs, and operating standards.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships with clients and external partners.
- Strong business development and client relationship capabilities, including experience supporting proposals, contracts, service expansion, and strategic growth.
- Exceptional operational discipline, sound judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment while balancing compliance, service quality, business performance, and growth.
- Strong leadership presence and the ability to develop talent, establish high standards, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Annual salary range of $150,000–$200,000 USD, with compensation determined according to experience, qualifications, and role-related factors.
