Job Description
V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Transportation Civil Designer in either our Woodridge, IL or Chicago, IL office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world.
You'll change the shape of your community by connecting people and designing roads, creating impact that lasts. And, as part of our Transportation Planning & Design team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Design and prepare engineering drawings using Bentley’s OpenRoads Designer for roadway and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
- Prepare construction specifications.
- Perform preliminary engineering tasks such as traffic studies, intersection design studies, geometric studies and project report development.
- Handle client relations as needed.
- Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
We’re looking for:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0-4 years of related experience on projects for clients such as IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOT’s and local municipalities.
- OpenRoads Designer proficiency.
- EIT certification.
