Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech’s reasonable and good-faith estimate for the range of new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is between $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager leads, plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items in the warehouse. This position is responsible for designing and developing product movement and storage systems, improving operations, and supporting the production teams. Additional responsibilities include cost efficiency, inventory management, continuous improvement, service, and safety. This position is responsible for coaching, motivating, and leading warehouse employees to accomplish the productivity goals for the building and establishes a culture of positive employee relations while ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead warehouse operations across multiple shifts, ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and continuous support for production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Builds people capability through effective leadership, employee relations, hiring, training, and communication.
- Drives a culture of accountability by conducting safety, quality and productivity observations and provides appropriate feedback to employees.
- Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally to assist team in solving operational issues.
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and is a significant element in defining and executing future state plans.
- Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
- Assists in setting vision for the department with regards to structure, roles, responsibilities, and roadmap.
- Optimizes ERP operating system as required to facilitate functional efficiencies as well develop and maintain reports/metrics to monitor processes.
- Develops processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Develops and implements warehouse operations system improvements by leading continuous improvement projects as assigned and by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Works closely with production management to continuously improve the flow of materials to and from production.
- Coordinates the picking, packing, and shipping of orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Troubleshoots all receiving complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensures transactions related to material movement are carried out in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
- Develops cycle counting routines and drives continuous improvement activities to improve inventory record accuracy.
- Completes key job duties and other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or equivalent, strongly preferred.
- 5-7 years relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing warehouse environment with at least 3 years as a supervisor.
- Strong knowledge and utilization of ERP and WMS systems.
- Detailed knowledge of materials flow, shipping and receiving functions (both inbound and out bound) in a fast-moving environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills including problem solving, project management and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization including ability to guide, mentor and develop staff.
- Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with continuous improvement (i.e. Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, fast paced environment.
