This is a fully remote leadership opportunity within a distributed, international technology organization.
The role focuses on managing a large configuration team responsible for high-volume, technically complex work across multiple partner implementations.
You will combine people leadership with delivery management, capacity planning, process optimization, and hands-on operational expertise.
A key part of the role is ensuring configuration work is accurately planned, prioritized, tracked, and delivered on time.
You will partner closely with Implementation, Engineering, and Product teams to remove blockers and protect partner go-live timelines.

Accountabilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a large configuration team responsible for high-volume and technically complex work across multiple simultaneous partner implementations.
  • Build and maintain a capacity model to understand team throughput, forecast workload, identify over-allocation risks, and proactively address potential delivery issues.
  • Assign and balance work according to team members’ skill levels, task complexity, priorities, and implementation requirements.
  • Develop and execute structured onboarding and training plans that enable new team members to progress toward independent work.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, identify development needs, and communicate team gaps to leadership.
  • Own configuration timelines, milestones, and due dates across active implementations, keeping plans accurate as scope and sequencing evolve.
  • Identify delays, dependencies, and delivery risks early, implement mitigation plans, and escalate issues with clear recommendations.
  • Track operational metrics including cycle time, throughput, rework, and on-time completion, using insights to improve team performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Implementation Managers, Engineering, and Product teams to sequence work, remove blockers, and protect partner go-live dates.
  • Define, document, and continuously improve configuration processes covering intake, prioritization, peer review, validation, and handoff.
  • Ensure teams consistently follow documented processes while identifying opportunities to simplify and improve workflows.
  • Standardize repeatable activities through templates, checklists, automation, and other tools designed to reduce errors and manual effort.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and translate findings into documented process improvements.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and actionable reports for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Build trust across Implementation, Engineering, and Product teams through reliable communication, accurate status reporting, and consistent delivery.
  • Serve as the configuration team’s expert user and administrator for Jira and Confluence, including workflows, custom fields, automation rules, JQL, filters, dashboards, and spaces.
  • Establish and enforce Jira ticketing standards so configuration requests remain traceable from initial intake through validation.
  • Maintain Confluence as the team’s single source of truth, including process documentation, configuration runbooks, standards, decision logs, and onboarding materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical project management, delivery management, technical operations, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing teams of 10 or more employees.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Jira and Confluence administration, including workflows, automation, JQL, dashboards, and space configuration.
  • Proven experience leading and managing distributed teams working across multiple time zones.
  • Strong capacity planning, delivery management, prioritization, and operational problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to produce concise and effective status reports for senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities, with the ability to use operational metrics to identify risks and improve performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple implementation priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and delivery discipline.
  • Willingness to work hours that overlap with the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to contribute directly to team work when operational needs require it.
  • Experience with online banking platforms, loan origination systems, consumer lending, or deposit products is a plus.
  • Experience working with banks, credit unions, fintech companies, or financial technology partners on implementation or onboarding initiatives is desirable.
Benefits
