Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Performs warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material and packs material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
  • Checks and places materials in the correct bin
  • Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
  • Informs supervisor of defective materials
  • Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending orders
  • Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders
  • Performs total skid count for loads
  • Assists the needs of the customer
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to learn computers sufficient to check inventories
  • Ability to learn materials inventoried
  • Ability to learn packing techniques
  • Ability to learn proper material handling techniques
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to drive a lift truck
  • Ability to read and understand customer orders
  • Ability to operate a table saw
  • Ability to enter data at an acceptable speed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or GED

EXPERIENCE:

1+ years of relevant warehouse experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is CAN $19-$23/hr.
