This senior individual contributor role helps shape and execute People Enablement strategy throughout the M&A lifecycle.
You will translate transaction objectives into structured integration plans, governance frameworks, and coordinated execution across multiple workstreams.
The position spans due diligence, integration planning, Day 1 readiness, change management, stabilization, and post-close transition.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and People Enablement leaders, bringing structure and clarity to complex, confidential initiatives.
Working across HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, Payroll, and FP&A, you will drive alignment and ensure critical activities remain on track.
The role combines strategic advisory work with hands-on program execution, risk management, employee experience, and continuous improvement.
This is an opportunity for an experienced M&A professional to influence high-impact transactions while helping build scalable integration practices and capabilities.
- Act as a strategic advisor throughout the M&A lifecycle, connecting people-related integration decisions to transaction objectives, business priorities, employee outcomes, and organizational risk.
- Provide subject matter expertise across due diligence, integration planning, Day 1 readiness, stabilization, change management, and post-integration transition activities.
- Anticipate business and stakeholder needs, develop proactive recommendations, frame tradeoffs, and support senior leaders in making informed decisions.
- Help develop and scale People M&A capabilities through repeatable standards, policies, playbooks, governance frameworks, and operating practices.
- Lead or coordinate people, organizational, cultural, operational, and HR functional due diligence activities, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative information to identify risks, opportunities, dependencies, costs, and integration considerations.
- Translate diligence findings into decision-ready insights, mitigation actions, integration requirements, and readiness plans while maintaining strict confidentiality around transaction and employee information.
- Develop and maintain integrated workplans, milestone trackers, decision logs, dependency maps, risk registers, and governance materials to provide structure and visibility across complex initiatives.
- Drive critical initiatives from concept through completion, coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and time-sensitive deliverables while avoiding unnecessary process.
- Facilitate governance meetings and working sessions, document decisions, clarify ownership, and maintain accountability for follow-through.
- Prepare executive summaries, status reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations that clearly communicate progress, decisions, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Serve as a bridge between People Enablement and enterprise functions including M&A, Legal, Finance, IT, Operations, Payroll, and FP&A.
- Build trusted relationships across functions, navigate competing priorities, resolve issues constructively, and escalate barriers when timing, scope, or outcomes are at risk.
- Partner with HR business partners and functional owners to coordinate employee transition activities and enable effective post-integration handoffs.
- Assess organizational and employee impacts and develop practical change management, communication, onboarding, transition, and adoption strategies.
- Champion a people-first employee experience while aligning acquired teams with organizational culture, values, policies, processes, and business objectives.
- Develop and coordinate employee communications, leader materials, FAQs, readiness activities, and adoption plans to support employees through periods of uncertainty and change.
- Apply empathy, resilience, sound judgment, and conflict-resolution skills when supporting stakeholders through ambiguity and organizational change.
- Use data and insights to identify risks, support decisions, monitor outcomes, and improve integration execution and quality.
- Incorporate compliance considerations into integration planning while maintaining working knowledge of applicable policies, processes, and legal requirements.
- Develop and improve dashboards, templates, decision frameworks, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools that strengthen efficiency, transparency, and execution.
- Capture lessons learned from transactions and convert them into scalable playbooks, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 4–7+ years of relevant professional experience, including direct experience in HR M&A, integration management, human capital consulting, HR transformation, or M&A program management.
- Demonstrated success independently leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, confidential information, and time-sensitive deliverables.
- Strong program and project management capabilities, including experience developing integrated plans, governance routines, decision frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, milestone tracking, and executive reporting.
- Ability to operate independently with limited supervision, exercise sound judgment, solve complex problems, and move effectively between strategic priorities and detailed execution.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to establish trust, influence without direct authority, navigate competing interests, and maintain alignment across diverse functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level materials, facilitate meetings, present recommendations, and communicate complex topics clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with a structured approach to managing ambiguity and complex workstreams.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand transaction objectives and translate business needs into practical people and integration solutions.
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential transaction information, employee data, organizational changes, and sensitive business matters.
- Deep knowledge of HR M&A and integration is preferred, including exposure to talent, payroll, compensation, benefits, employee relations, people operations, HR systems, employee communications, culture, and organizational design.
- Experience working within an Integration Management Office, Program Management Office, consulting environment, corporate strategy function, or dedicated M&A integration team is preferred.

- Familiarity with change management methodologies, integration frameworks, compliance considerations, and risk mitigation practices.
- Experience creating executive presentations, dashboards, governance materials, and decision-ready recommendations.
- Ability to leverage analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve decision-making, efficiency, visibility, and execution quality.

- Ability to leverage analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve how M&A integration work is planned and executed.
- A role combining strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on program leadership and execution.
- Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement while working in a fast-moving and confidential environment.
