The Senior Implementation Delivery Lead plays a critical role in delivering complex benefits administration solutions and ensuring a successful client experience from implementation through launch. Acting as a technical and functional subject matter expert, this position partners closely with clients, brokers, and internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle. You will manage multiple workstreams, oversee configuration and integration activities, identify risks, and drive timely resolution of complex issues. The role combines client consulting, project leadership, technical problem-solving, and team development in a fast-paced environment. You will also help improve implementation methodologies, tools, and service models while coaching team members and promoting delivery excellence. - Serve as a technical and functional subject matter expert during implementation status meetings and other client-facing engagements.
- Manage client expectations by anticipating challenges, communicating project status clearly, and establishing realistic timelines and delivery plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers while ensuring a positive and consistent implementation experience.
- Advise clients on benefits administration best practices and recommend system or process improvements aligned with their business objectives.
- Manage multiple implementation workstreams, including system configuration, testing, auditing, COBRA and Direct Bill setup, employee communications, vendor integrations, data conversion and migration, and payroll implementation activities.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines to ensure implementations remain on track.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver implementation services accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate significant concerns to the appropriate implementation leadership.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve client questions related to system functionality, configuration, integrations, and process gaps.
- Research emerging benefits administration technologies, industry trends, and implementation best practices to strengthen delivery approaches.
- Recommend improvements to implementation processes, methodologies, tools, documentation, and service models.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to research and define system enhancements based on client requirements.
- Coach and mentor Implementation Analysts, providing guidance on delivery practices, issue resolution, client communication, and professional development.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistently high service standards across implementation teams.
- Travel as required to support business and client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in client relationship management, consulting, implementation, or a closely related field.
- Current or previous experience working with benefits administration platforms, implementation processes, and methodologies.
- Proven experience managing complex client implementations and multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.
- Experience with benefits administration platforms or HR technology solutions is highly valuable.
- Knowledge of COBRA, Direct Bill administration, payroll integrations, and vendor connectivity processes is preferred.
- Experience leading implementation teams or mentoring junior team members is a plus.
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with implementation methodologies are preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong customer service orientation and a consistent commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
- Base salary of $80,000–$100,000 USD, exclusive of potential bonuses and benefits.
- Final compensation determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
