Bodily Injury/Litigation Claims Supervisor

We're seeking an experienced BI/Litigation Claims Supervisor to help lead our Bodily Injury and Litigation team. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others, making an impact on claim outcomes, and contributing to a collaborative claims culture.

Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and direction on bodily injury and litigated claims.
- Review files for coverage, liability, reserves, and timely handling.
- Approve settlement authority within assigned limits and recommend negotiation strategies.
- Conduct file reviews and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to adjusters.
- Lead team meetings and regular one-on-one development discussions.
- Monitor claim handling quality, service standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with training, onboarding, and development of claims staff.
- Review vendor and legal invoices and authorize payments within designated authority.
- Support workload management, file assignments, and performance monitoring.
- Partner with leadership to identify process improvements and develop top claims talent.
Must have:
- 8+ years of Property & Casualty claims experience.
- Significant experience handling Bodily Injury and litigated claims.
- Strong understanding of insurance coverage, liability investigation, reserving, and negotiation.
- Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
- This is an exempt position.
- Fast-paced claims environment requiring sound judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
- Primarily office-based in a paperless and technology-driven environment.
- Regular interaction with employees, management, legal partners, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Work may involve managing multiple priorities and responding to time-sensitive claim matters.
- Standard business hours with flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet business demands.
- Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be available based on business needs and company policy.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
- Ability to review electronic documents and claims files for prolonged periods.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Frequent viewing of computer monitors and electronic systems.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift office materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
