Description: Warehouse Associate – ForkliftPosition Overview
We’re looking for a dependable Warehouse Associate with forklift experience to join our team! This role supports daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, order picking, shipping, inventory, and material handling.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
What You’ll DoOperate a sit-down forklift safely and responsibly.
Receive incoming and returned products and verify quantities and contents.
Stock products and maintain accurate inventory records.
Pick and pack customer orders accurately and in the correct sequence.
Prepare cartons and products for shipment.
Scan products and containers to confirm contents and destinations.
Identify damaged, missing, or lost products and report issues to management.
Use warehouse scanning devices and computer systems to:
Set up and process orders
Book freight
Quarantine freight
Create/update labels
Maintain inventory information
Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and training.
Keep products and materials organized and handle them with care.
Work independently while also collaborating with the warehouse team.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the Manager or Team Lead.
High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of warehouse experience.
At least 6 months of sit-down forklift experience within the past 12 months.
Current, unexpired forklift certification.
Experience using warehouse scanners or scanning devices.
Familiarity with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is a plus.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to working safely.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Physical RequirementsStand and walk throughout the warehouse during your shift.
Bend, lift, and carry products weighing up to 40 lbs.
Work safely around forklifts and other powered equipment.
Hear equipment alarms and safety signals.
Primarily indoors in a warehouse setting.
Some outdoor exposure may be required.
Non-temperature-controlled environment, so employees should be comfortable working in varying temperatures.
