This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Azure Solutions Architect (Microsoft Fabric) based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and govern a modern enterprise data platform built around Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
You will lead the architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across the organization.
The position bridges traditional Azure infrastructure with unified SaaS-based data capabilities and AI-ready architectures.
You will work across data engineering, governance, business intelligence, performance optimization, and emerging AI workloads.
Your expertise will help establish strong data foundations while enabling advanced analytics and generative AI use cases.
This is a strategic technical role for an experienced architect who can translate complex data requirements into reliable enterprise solutions.

Accountabilities:

As an Azure Solutions Architect, you will own the technical direction of the enterprise data platform, ensuring that architecture, governance, performance, and AI enablement align with business and technology objectives.

  • Architect end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric workloads, including OneLake, Lakehouse, and Warehouse.
  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2.
  • Establish Medallion Architecture patterns across Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
  • Define and enforce data governance standards using Microsoft Purview, including data lineage, access controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize Fabric Capacity SKUs to improve processing performance and cost efficiency.
  • Design high-performance Power BI semantic models and visualizations using Direct Lake mode.
  • Develop metadata patterns and architectural structures that support Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workloads.
  • Contribute to advanced Fabric capabilities such as Real-Time Intelligence and Data Activator.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in data architecture and engineering, combined with deep Azure expertise and hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric. Strong architectural judgment and an understanding of enterprise data governance are essential.

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture and/or Data Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric workloads, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, and Dataflows Gen2.
  • Experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture and scalable ETL/ELT solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, data governance, lineage, access management, and compliance.
  • Experience with Power BI, semantic modeling, and Direct Lake.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI and RAG architecture patterns, particularly in relation to enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience with Real-Time Intelligence and Data Activator is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Azure Well-Architected Framework is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Contract-based engagement.
  • Opportunity to lead the architecture of a modern Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platform.
  • Exposure to advanced data, analytics, governance, and AI technologies.
  • Strategic technical ownership across enterprise-scale data initiatives.
