Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Switzerland.
Join a fully remote, fast-growing environment where you’ll help customers turn AI ambitions into real production outcomes.
You’ll work directly within customer environments, combining software engineering, agentic AI, and business understanding.
Rather than simply advising, you’ll design, build, and ship practical agentic workflows tailored to real data, systems, and business needs.
You’ll work with MCPs, agent frameworks, skills, and tool-using LLMs to solve meaningful customer problems.
The role combines hands-on engineering with customer collaboration, technical enablement, workshops, and occasional pre-sales support.
Your experience with customers will also influence the evolution of the underlying platform by feeding valuable patterns and product gaps back to the engineering team.
This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys ambiguity, ownership, rapid learning, and working at the intersection of technology and customers.
Partner directly with customers as an embedded technical expert, taking ownership of designing, building, and deploying practical agentic solutions.
Quickly understand new industries, business domains, customer data, technical environments, and desired outcomes.
Identify AI and agentic workflows that can deliver measurable and realistic business value.
Design and build proof-of-concepts and production-ready solutions using MCPs, skills, agent frameworks, tool-using LLMs, and the agent platform.
Tailor agentic workflows to customer-specific data, systems, and operational requirements.
Help customer engineering teams understand, adopt, extend, and ultimately take ownership of the solutions delivered.
Conduct technical workshops, pairing sessions, enablement activities, and developer-focused engagements.
Translate platform capabilities into practical technical solutions that customer engineers can implement and build upon.
Capture recurring patterns, technical challenges, and product gaps from customer engagements and communicate them to the product and engineering teams.
Contribute to pre-sales activities by helping evaluate AI use cases, scope potential solutions, and create technical examples that demonstrate value.
Hands-on experience in a customer-facing technical position such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or a comparable role.
Proven, practical experience building with agentic AI, including MCPs, agent frameworks, tool-using LLMs, or related technologies.
Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar business domains and translate business needs into concrete technical solutions.
Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native operations.
Strong software engineering and coding skills, with a practical, hands-on approach to building and shipping solutions.
Excellent communication skills and confidence working with both technical engineers and non-technical customer stakeholders.
Ability to balance customer needs, technical constraints, and business outcomes effectively.
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments where processes and best practices are still evolving.
Strong ownership, adaptability, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with developer relations, technical workshops, enablement, or Solutions Architecture is a strong advantage.
Willingness to align part of your working day with European time zones (UTC ±2 hours).
Salary: €60,000–€90,000, with starting compensation determined through a location- and experience-based formula.
Transparent compensation: Objective salary calculations designed to reduce pay gaps and limit the influence of negotiation on compensation.

Company gatherings: Twice-yearly company-wide meetings and opportunities to connect with colleagues at conferences.
Collaborative culture: Cross-functional teams, strong emphasis on trust and teamwork, and meaningful individual ownership.
Innovation time: Opportunities to participate in hackathons and focused project sprints.
International environment: Work alongside talented colleagues and contribute to the wider cloud-native and open-source community.
