Senior Full Stack Engineer (.NET & Vue/React)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (.NET & Vue/React) based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve a modern SaaS platform within the fast-growing Insurtech sector. You will work across both front-end and back-end development, translating complex insurance business requirements into scalable, reliable software solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering with architecture, performance optimization, security, testing, and technical mentoring. You will collaborate closely with product, design, UX, and engineering teams in an international and diverse environment. Your work will directly contribute to delivering digital insurance experiences for enterprise customers across global markets. The role is well suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working with modern technologies.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain new features and functionality for a scalable SaaS platform, translating insurance business requirements into efficient and maintainable software solutions.
  • Work across both front-end and back-end development, using technologies such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, Vue.js, React.js, GraphQL, and MongoDB to deliver cohesive product experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, UX specialists, and engineering teams to understand user requirements, technical concepts, and use cases and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Design and evolve applications with scalability, flexibility, and maintainability in mind, supporting increasing numbers of clients, users, data volumes, and product capabilities.
  • Optimize application performance for high-traffic environments and large datasets, ensuring reliable and responsive experiences for end users.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and develop unit, integration, and functional tests to maintain a high standard of software quality.
  • Apply Test-Driven Development, Domain-Driven Design, clean architecture, and modern software engineering practices to build robust and modular solutions.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects efficiently while maintaining the reliability and stability of the platform.
  • Implement web security best practices and support compliance with relevant regulations when handling sensitive customer and business data.
  • Work with container technologies and cloud infrastructure to support scalable and reliable application delivery.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, development practices, and industry trends, identifying opportunities to improve the platform and engineering practices.
  • Mentor junior developers, support their technical development, and contribute to the overall capabilities and effectiveness of the engineering team.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, preferably working on complex SaaS applications.
  • Strong back-end development experience with .NET Core, C#, GraphQL, MongoDB, and Docker.
  • Strong front-end development skills with JavaScript and Vue.js and/or React.js.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and an understanding of cloud infrastructure and scalable application design.
  • Experience working with microservices architectures and/or clean architecture principles.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Test-Driven Development and experience implementing unit, integration, and functional testing across front-end and back-end applications.
  • Proficiency in Domain-Driven Design principles and the ability to create maintainable, modular architectures aligned with business domains.
  • Strong understanding of web security best practices and experience supporting compliance requirements for applications handling sensitive data.
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing application performance for high-traffic web applications and large volumes of data.
  • Experience with Docker and container-based technologies, combined with a good understanding of cloud infrastructure and solutions.
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across diverse backgrounds.
  • A continuous-learning mindset and genuine interest in emerging technologies, software development trends, and engineering best practices.
