Trellis Services is hiring one-on-one instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 10 to 21) with autism in their homes and in the community on non academic life skill goals. This part-time position (8 to 30 hours per week-afternoons, evenings and weekends) is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Flexible hours and great pay ($19/hr)! Great entry level position and resume builder for someone looking to start their career in Special Education!

As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

What You Have

• At least 18 years old on your first day of employment
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation
• Minimum 100 hours working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays

What You'll Be Doing

As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

• Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure
• Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
• Opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties
• Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis
• Great foundation for a career in special education and related fields
• Above minimum wage starting pay rate
