This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise data products that support critical business decisions, governance, and operational outcomes.
You’ll own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for data-focused products spanning datasets, pipelines, quality rules, and dashboards.
Working closely with engineering, governance, analytics, and business stakeholders, you’ll turn complex data needs into actionable product requirements.
Your SQL expertise will help you validate data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that delivered solutions meet defined quality and performance standards.
You’ll also play a key role in strengthening data governance through metadata, lineage, stewardship workflows, and quality frameworks.
The environment is Agile, collaborative, and delivery-focused, with an emphasis on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
This is a strong opportunity for a data-savvy product professional who enjoys connecting technical execution with business value.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the vision, roadmap, and prioritization for data products, including datasets, pipelines, data quality rules, and dashboards, while aligning delivery with business outcomes and compliance requirements.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, maintaining a transparent and prioritized product backlog.
  • Define and monitor product metrics such as adoption, data quality, SLA compliance, performance, and value realization.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters and technical leads to remove impediments, manage scope, and support predictable delivery.
  • Champion Definition of Ready and Definition of Done standards to ensure data products meet governance, quality, reliability, and performance expectations.
  • Use SQL to validate datasets across environments, investigate discrepancies, troubleshoot data issues, and support product decisions.
  • Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to define KPIs, analytical capabilities, and insight-driven use cases.
  • Partner with data governance teams to establish stewardship workflows, naming standards, certification processes, data quality rules, scorecards, and issue-resolution processes.
  • Use Collibra or comparable data catalog capabilities to manage metadata, lineage, governance, and the onboarding of governed datasets.
  • Work closely with data engineers on ingestion, transformation, orchestration, schema design, partitioning, indexing, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
  • Lead discovery workshops and synthesize diverse stakeholder perspectives into aligned priorities and release plans.
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries, business rules, lineage diagrams, workflow maps, release notes, and other product documentation.
  • Communicate product progress, data insights, risks, and priorities clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders, clients, and leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in product management delivering data-centric products, including analytics, governance, data engineering, or related platforms.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and the ability to use SQL for data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
  • Proven experience managing products through Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Strong understanding of data governance concepts, including metadata, lineage, stewardship, data quality, standards, and certification.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, governance, analytics, architecture, and business teams.
  • Experience with Collibra or another enterprise data catalog platform is preferred.
  • Exposure to modern data environments such as AWS or Azure, data lakes or warehouses, and orchestration tools is preferred.
  • Experience working alongside data engineers, architects, analysts, or data scientists is an advantage.
  • Background supporting federal, healthcare, or other enterprise-scale data programs is a plus.
  • Strong product ownership, prioritization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Full-time, remote work opportunity with flexible work arrangements where available.
