Ocala Recruitment is recruiting for a complex support worker on behalf of our client Ocala Healthcare, a well-established family-run care provider in Suffolk, supporting people with complex care needs. The Role

In this role, you will be part of the Outreach Team, a team of skilled support workers who specialise in supporting adults with a learning disability and/or autism who are experiencing a period of crisis.

The goal of this role is to avoid hospital admissions for these individuals, providing the right support at the right time within their own communities.

This job role will be based around Suffolk.

This role will include lone working.

Your responsibilities

· Building relationships of trust with colleagues, partner organisations, and people we support.

· Having a thorough understanding of care planning and risk assessment.

· Comprehensive report writing.

· Spending time getting to know and understand the people we support.

· Engaging in activities that enhance the lives of those we care for.

· Helping colleagues and residents to have the best day possible.

· Preparing and assist with meals.

· Administering/Prompting medication.

· Assisting with all elements of personal care.

· Supporting the people we care for to engage in activities of their own interests.

· Pursuing greater professional competence through training and qualification.

· Sharing ideas that will enhance the service level.

· Maintaining excellent levels of house hygiene.

· Protecting the people we care for by sharing concerns and following safeguarding protocol.

Hours and Pay

The salary for this role is £30,000 per annum.

You will be contracted to work 42 hours per week, across 4 days. This will include alternate weekends.

The Successful Person

To be successful in your application to this role, you will:

· Be a people person

· Have cared for people before (and loved it!)

· Have a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

· Have the Right to Work in the United Kingdom (we do not provide sponsorship licences)

· Have tremendous confidence supporting and caring for people, including experience of supporting people in distress

· Be able to write care reports that social workers love to read!

· Be motivated by making a difference to people’s lives

· Be reliable, hardworking, and all the usual stuff too!
