IT Application Solutions Architect Senior - Full Stack

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a IT Application Solutions Architect Senior - Full Stack based in the United States.

This is a senior-level architecture and engineering opportunity focused on designing, developing, and supporting modern full-stack applications in a cloud environment.
You will combine strong frontend expertise with backend development and distributed systems knowledge to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
The role offers the opportunity to work extensively with Angular, Java, Python, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and AWS services.
You will contribute to microservices, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and automated CI/CD delivery pipelines.
The position sits within an Agile environment where technical expertise, collaboration, and practical problem-solving are essential.
You will help shape application architecture while ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, observable, and performant.
This is a fully remote role suited to an experienced technology professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges end to end.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and develop full-stack solutions: Architect, build, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Angular, Java, Python, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Develop scalable microservices: Design and implement Spring Boot-based microservices and service integrations that support reliable and maintainable application ecosystems.
  • Leverage AWS cloud technologies: Build and integrate solutions using services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ECS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, VPC, EventBridge, and Secrets Manager.
  • Implement modern architectures: Apply event-driven architecture, messaging patterns, distributed-system principles, and modern application integration approaches to solve complex business and technical requirements.
  • Support CI/CD and DevOps practices: Contribute to automated delivery pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or comparable technologies.
  • Drive application quality and reliability: Consider security, performance, scalability, observability, maintainability, and operational resilience throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams: Partner with developers, technical stakeholders, and project teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions and deliver iteratively.
  • Apply modern development tooling: Utilize relevant technologies and tools such as GitHub Copilot, Dynatrace, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and Ionic where appropriate.
  • Contribute across platforms: Apply an understanding of Linux, macOS, Windows, mobile operating systems, networking technologies, and underlying platform capabilities to support comprehensive solutions.
Requirements:
  • Full-stack engineering expertise: Strong professional experience developing modern applications, with advanced proficiency in Angular and substantial programming experience in Java and Python.
  • Backend and API development: Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot microservices and RESTful API development.
  • AWS experience: Practical knowledge of AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, VPC, EventBridge, and Secrets Manager.
  • Architecture knowledge: Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, distributed applications, and modern cloud-based application design.
  • Programming and scripting: Expertise in at least one of Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript, alongside the ability to work comfortably across a full-stack technology environment.
  • DevOps knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar platforms.
  • Systems and networking: Working knowledge of Linux, macOS, Windows, and mobile operating systems, platforms, and internals, as well as modern computer networking technologies.
  • Agile delivery: Experience working with Agile project management methodologies and cross-functional development teams.
  • Problem-solving and collaboration: Strong analytical skills, technical judgment, communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively on complex application and architecture challenges.
  • Additional technologies: Familiarity with AEM, Dynatrace observability, GitHub Copilot, and Ionic is a plus.
