This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Publishing Admin Coordinator based in South Africa.
This is a part-time remote opportunity supporting the Sales Director of a growing print and publishing business.
You will play a key role in keeping administrative, client, supplier, and software-related activities running smoothly.
The position combines office administration, customer communication, supplier coordination, and data management.
You will interact with clients, suppliers, developers, and internal stakeholders, helping ensure information and requests move efficiently.
Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot will also contribute to improving digital tools and workflows.
The role is ideal for someone organised, proactive, and confident working independently in a remote environment.
A background in printing or publishing is highly advantageous, and the position requires you to be based in Cape Town.
- Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets, ensuring information is entered accurately and kept organised.
- Monitor incoming emails, respond to potential clients and stakeholders, and ensure enquiries are followed up appropriately.
- Request and coordinate supplier quotations, gathering the information required to support sales and operational activities.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to software developers regarding issues, improvements, and user requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with clients, suppliers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot issues affecting software or websites and suggest practical improvements or upgrades.
- Support the Sales Director with day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks that help maintain efficient business operations.
- Assist with invoicing and other general office administration as required.
- Previous experience in office administration, coordination, or a similar support role, preferably within printing, publishing, or a related industry.
- Working knowledge of digital and social media marketing.
- Experience with administrative processes including invoicing, data entry, email management, and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general office software.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.
- A proactive, practical approach to troubleshooting, with the confidence to identify problems and suggest improvements.
- Comfortable communicating with software developers and translating operational needs or issues into clear feedback.
- Able to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Knowledge or experience within the printing industry is highly advantageous.
- Must be based in Cape Town, South Africa.
- R200 per hour remuneration.
- Part-time schedule of approximately 3–4 hours per day.
