Telehealth Intake Counselor in California, Maryland at AKUA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INC

Position: Telehealth Intake Counselor
Type: Hourly, Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $28 per hour
Standard Shift: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Location: Remote / Work from Home (must be located in California)

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the full telehealth intake for Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health clients.
• Obtain signed consents and complete intake screening assessments.
• Conduct a comprehensive intake biopsychosocial assessment.
• Orient clients to and set them up on the telehealth platform.
• Ensure clients have a strong first experience with the telehealth treatment program.
• Introduce clients to their dedicated therapist, case manager, and medical provider.
• Provide pre-admissions clinical review and support admissions as needed.
• Obtain hands-on clinical hours under supervision from a qualified clinical leader.

Qualifications:

• License/Credentials: CADC or SUDCC (required)
• Location: Must reside in California
• Additional: Ability to work fully remote and complete intakes, platform setup, and coordination via telehealth
