Job Description

Design Experience Strategist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Design Experience Strategist based in the United States.

This role is focused on shaping how users experience a large-scale digital learning platform from end to end, ensuring every interaction is intuitive, purposeful, and aligned with both user needs and business goals. You will design holistic user journeys that go beyond individual screens, influencing how learners discover, engage with, and complete courses. Working at the intersection of UX strategy, product design, and content, you will translate complex compliance and educational material into clear, accessible, and engaging experiences. The environment is highly collaborative, involving close partnership with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine flows, interactions, and UI logic. Your work will directly impact engagement, conversion, and course completion across a platform serving millions of users. This is a strategic, hands-on design role for someone who thrives in simplifying complexity and improving learning outcomes through thoughtful experience design.

Accountabilities:
  • Define, design, and optimize end-to-end user journeys, information architecture, and interaction flows across the platform.
  • Translate user needs, behavioral insights, and business objectives into cohesive UX strategies that improve engagement and conversion.
  • Design and enhance onboarding experiences, including walkthroughs, tooltips, and in-product guidance systems.
  • Write and structure UX content such as microcopy, CTAs, and UI messaging to improve clarity, trust, and usability.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers using Figma, wireframes, prototypes, and flow diagrams.
  • Review and refine UX designs and content to ensure consistency across patterns, terminology, and interaction logic.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights, including user feedback and testing, to validate and improve design decisions.
  • Contribute to scalable UX frameworks, design systems, and best practices across the product.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to simplify complex workflows and improve user outcomes across the learning journey.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in UX strategy, product design, UX/UI design, UX writing, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of user journeys, information architecture, and interaction design principles.
  • Ability to think strategically about experience design, not just individual screens or visual execution.
  • Hands-on experience with Figma, wireframing, prototyping, and user flow documentation.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside product managers, designers, and engineering teams.
  • User-first mindset with strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and systems thinking.
  • Experience improving digital products through iterative design and feedback cycles.
  • Familiarity with UX research methods, usability testing, or A/B testing is a plus.
  • Background in SaaS, complex digital platforms, psychology, or human-centered design is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote, collaborative environment.
Benefits:
  • Remote-first work environment with flexible collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Opportunity to shape the end-to-end experience of a platform used by millions of learners.
  • High-impact role with direct influence on product engagement, conversion, and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborative culture working closely with product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Exposure to large-scale UX challenges in a fast-growing digital education environment.
  • Opportunity to define and evolve UX standards, patterns, and best practices across the product.
