Position Summary
The Production Team Member is responsible for preparing, processing, portioning, packaging, and organizing food products for distribution to multiple restaurant locations within the Momiji Management Group. This role supports the production of sauces, proteins, seafood, vegetables, and other menu components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, consistency, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our restaurants receive high-quality products that meet company standards and contribute to consistent guest experience across all locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and food products according to established recipes, specifications, and production schedules.
- Portion, package, label, and organize products for delivery to restaurant locations.
- Assist in the preparation of sauces, proteins, seafood, vegetables, and other menu components.
- Operate kitchen and food production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow company standards for product quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving, storing, rotating, and organizing inventory.
- Monitor product quality and report any concerns to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and restaurant operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in food production, restaurant preparation, commissary kitchens, culinary operations, seafood processing, butchery, manufacturing, or related environments preferred.
- Professional knife skills and experience using kitchen tools and equipment preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes, written procedures, and production schedules accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain certification as required by local regulations.
Physical Requirements and Job Conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands and wrists for cutting, portioning, packaging, and handling food products.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for short periods.
- Exposure to sharp tools, commercial kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and food production machinery.
- Ability to maintain productivity and focus in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Must be able to work the required schedule, including weekends.
