Job Description
Job Title: On Call Driver
Department: Payson Thrift Store
Reports To: Store General Manager
FLSA Status: Part Time – Hourly
Safety Sensitive: Yes
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Stores General Manager, this position transports donated merchandise in a safe professional and efficient manner. Drivers are assigned routes to pick up donated goods and deliver them to the thrift store and deliver purchased items from the store to various locations.
Store hours: Saturday and Sunday 10:00am-2:00pm
Specific Duties:
· Conducts daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle.
· Loads and unloads truck with or without helper.
· Maintains regular communications with the general manager.
· Completes paperwork daily, weekly, and monthly as required.
· Maintains a courteous and professional attitude towards donors, volunteers, and other staff members.
· Transfer merchandise to necessary locations when needed.
· Securely load merchandise for safe transportation and to prevent damage.
· Secure load to prevent unnecessary damage.
· Performs any other duties assigned by the store’s general manager
· Participate in and serve as a model for SVdP’s Culture of Philanthropy, and ensure SVdP volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated *

Required Skills/Special Requirements:
· One year or more as a local route driver
· Valid Driver's license and clean driving record for at least 36 months
· Must meet DOT physical requirements; position is subject to random drug screen
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
· Able to stand for extended periods, bend and stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, see, and hear sufficiently to perform assigned tasks
· Able to communicate orally and in writing (english)
· Able to read at a level of comprehension sufficient to meet job requirements
