This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analytics Engineer based in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and consulting, where you will help design and deliver modern data environments for a diverse range of clients. You will work on building scalable, end-to-end data solutions that transform raw data into meaningful, decision-ready insights. Operating in a highly collaborative consulting setting, you will partner closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to shape data strategies and implement robust pipelines. The work is hands-on and impactful, often involving greenfield projects where you will help define foundational data architectures. You will contribute to enabling analytics at scale through reliable, well-structured, and well-documented data systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems while engaging directly with clients and seeing the tangible impact of their work.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain modern data solutions that power analytics and business decision-making:

  • Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of high-quality datasets
  • Write efficient SQL and Python code to support analytics engineering and data processing workflows
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical data solutions and models
  • Build and maintain data models and ensure alignment with architecture standards and best practices
  • Work with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric to support analytics workloads
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows to ensure reliability, repeatability, and scalability
  • Ensure data quality through testing, monitoring, observability, and documentation practices
  • Support BI tools and downstream consumers by enabling reliable and well-structured data access layers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance or system issues in production environments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying new tools, technologies, and best practices
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you bring strong technical expertise in data engineering and analytics, combined with a consulting mindset:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related data-focused roles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data transformation, and optimization
  • Solid experience with Python for data processing and automation tasks
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines in a data environment
  • Familiarity with BI tools and enabling data for downstream analytics and reporting use cases
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data warehouse concepts
  • Experience implementing data quality frameworks, including testing, monitoring, and observability
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders (e.g., finance, operations) to deliver data solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to work in fast-paced consulting environments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Must be based in Vancouver or Toronto, Canada
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range: CA$75,000 – CA$135,000
  • Annual performance bonus of 15–25% of base salary
  • Remote-first work model with flexibility depending on project needs
  • Opportunity to work on diverse client engagements across industries
  • Exposure to modern data stacks and cutting-edge analytics technologies
  • Career growth in both technical and consulting tracks
  • Collaborative, high-impact environment focused on learning and innovation
  • Occasional travel opportunities for client workshops and strategic sessions
  • Work on greenfield projects with significant ownership and visibility
