Job Description

Marketing SpecialistJob Summary:

The Marketing Specialist will promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other promotional products. The Marketing Specialist supports the development and execution of City National Bank’s marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, and community outreach efforts.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with operations or marketing representatives to fully understand product and marketing needs.
  • Presents design ideas and recommendations to Director of Marketing, committee, or sales team.
  • Develop, schedule, publish, and monitor social media content.
  • Create engaging graphics, videos, photography, reels, stories, and other digital content.
  • Assist with website content updates, landing pages, blogs, and other digital communications.
  • Help develop promotional materials including brochures, flyers, postcards, signage, billboards, digital ads, promotional items, and event materials.
  • Assist with financial literacy programs and educational presentations in local schools and community organizations.
  • Assist with internal communications, employee announcements, newsletters, and other bank communications.
  • Assist with filming - scripts and production.
  • Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
  • Attends trade shows and community events - staffs the company booth/table when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop fresh and engaging marketing ideas.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects preferred; portfolio of relevant previous projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of the banking or financial services industry is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
