Position: Corporate Safety & Compliance Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary

Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) is seeking an experienced and highly organized Corporate Safety & Compliance Manager to lead and oversee company-wide safety and compliance initiatives.
This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, policies, training, and procedures to promote safe operations and ensure compliance across all TTC locations and field operations.
The Corporate Safety & Compliance Manager will work closely with leadership, operations, supervisors, and field employees to identify potential safety risks, maintain proper documentation, investigate incidents, and continuously improve the company's overall safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Monitor company operations for compliance with applicable OSHA requirements, DOT regulations, company policies, and Temporary Traffic Control safety standards.
• Conduct regular field and jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, or practices and work with operations leadership to implement corrective actions.
• Oversee safety requirements related to Temporary Traffic Control operations, including work zones, traffic control devices, signage, vehicles, and field equipment.
• Develop and conduct employee safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety education.
• Ensure employees receive required safety training and maintain accurate records of certifications and completed training.
• Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, vehicle incidents, near misses, and other safety-related events.
• Prepare incident reports, determine contributing factors, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
• Maintain accurate corporate safety records, inspection documentation, incident reports, training records, and compliance documentation.
• Track safety trends and provide reports and recommendations to executive and operational leadership.
• Partner with Operations and Human Resources to address safety violations and ensure corrective actions are properly documented and completed.
• Assist with fleet safety initiatives, driver compliance, vehicle inspections, and accident-prevention programs.
• Monitor the condition and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), traffic control equipment, and other safety-related materials.
• Stay current on changes to applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and Temporary Traffic Control requirements.
• Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, customer safety requirements, and requests for safety documentation.
• Develop strategies to reduce workplace injuries, vehicle incidents, property damage, and other operational safety risks.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization by encouraging accountability, communication, and proactive hazard identification.
• Provide leadership with verbal and written safety and compliance reports using email, company applications, and other communication tools.
• Travel to company locations and active jobsites as needed to conduct inspections, training, investigations, and safety meetings.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in safety, compliance, construction, transportation, Temporary Traffic Control, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of workplace and field safety practices.
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, work-zone safety, and Temporary Traffic Control requirements preferred.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, investigations, audits, or employee training.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to identify safety concerns and develop practical corrective solutions.
• Comfortable working with employees at all levels, from field personnel and supervisors to corporate leadership.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and respond to urgent safety matters when necessary.
• Proficiency with email, digital forms, reporting systems, and standard business software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites and company locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
• OSHA safety training or certifications.
• MOT/Temporary Traffic Control certifications.
• Experience within construction, roadway, utility, traffic control, or similar field operations.
• Previous experience managing safety programs across multiple locations or operational regions.
