Job Description
Highland Provisions, a purveyor of Boar’s Head products, is looking for a safe, reliable, and experienced CDL Class A driver.
Our drivers are HOME EVERY NIGHT. This is a SALARY POSITION.
The Specifics:
- Warehouse location is currently in Lithia Springs but will be moving to South Fulton later in 2022.
- Route/activity: Truck drivers (generally 2 to a truck) are responsible for transporting floats of product to designated customers and placing them in a designated location and/or picking up empty floats and returning them to the warehouse.
- Shift: Schedule will vary Monday through Saturday with rotating day off and Sunday. An occasional Sunday as needed. Start time is 4 am, but occasional later start may occur.
- Equipment: Day cab Freightliner (auto) and 36’ or 53' reefer trailers. Occasionally a box reefer truck 16’ or 28’ when needed.
- Other jobs may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- CDL Class A required
- Ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card (required)
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Reliable and On Time
- Excellent customer service skills
- Focused on safety
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Employees must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

- The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
