Working Title Major Gifts Development Associate
Position Grade 14
Position Summary
NMPBS seeks an exceptional, relationship-driven fundraisingprofessional to serve as Major Gifts Officer and help build a strong andsustainable future for NMPBS in New Mexico. This position will cultivatemeaningful, long-term relationships with individuals who believe deeply in thepower of NMPBS to inform, educate, inspire, and serve our communities.
Through thoughtful prospect identification, personalengagement, strategic cultivation, face-to-face solicitation, and exemplarystewardship, the Major Gifts Officer will inspire significant philanthropicinvestment in NMPBS. The position will manage a portfolio of major donors andprospects, develop individualized strategies for each relationship, and workclosely with the Director of Development to identify opportunities to increasesupport and expand the stations major gifts pipeline.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished fundraiser tomake a meaningful difference at a pivotal moment for NMPBS, helping translatethe generosity and commitment of our supporters into lasting impact for NewMexicans.

Conditions of EmploymentMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working as a major gift, special gift, or planned giving officer at a public media station
- Experience cultivating and soliciting multi-year commitments totaling six figures from individuals or families
- Experience managing high-level relationships with individuals and families of significant philanthropic capacity
