We are seeking an experienced QA Lead Engineer to define and drive quality assurance strategies across multiple products and platforms. In this fully remote role, you will combine hands-on test automation expertise with technical leadership to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software. You will lead QA engineers, establish robust testing frameworks, and integrate automated testing into continuous integration and delivery workflows. Working closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams, you will strengthen release quality, reduce regression risks, and promote continuous improvement. You will also drive performance, load, and security testing while using data-driven insights to measure product quality. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong leader who enjoys building efficient testing processes and fostering a quality-first engineering culture.

Accountabilities:

The QA Lead Engineer will own the end-to-end quality assurance strategy, combining automation, team leadership, testing governance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliable software delivery.

  • Define and execute the overall QA strategy, covering test planning, automation, performance testing, and release validation.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, and backend systems.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach QA engineers by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development support.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure requirements are testable, measurable, and aligned with quality objectives.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and minimize regression risks.
  • Develop and oversee performance, load, and security testing strategies to validate system reliability and scalability under real-world conditions.
  • Evaluate and standardize testing tools, technologies, frameworks, and best practices across projects.
  • Establish data-driven testing practices and monitor product quality through relevant KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Lead defect triage meetings, coordinate release testing, and ensure timely issue resolution and risk communication.
  • Promote a quality-first mindset across engineering teams, advocating for testability, maintainability, and robust system design.
  • Continuously improve QA processes to enhance testing efficiency, software reliability, and release confidence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines substantial software testing experience with strong automation engineering capabilities, technical leadership, and the ability to improve quality practices across cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6–10 years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in a QA Lead or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of API and backend testing using Postman, RestAssured, or comparable tools.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or k6.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking platforms such as Jira and TestRail.
  • Strong understanding of test strategy, automation architecture, regression testing, and release validation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to software quality and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide engineers and coordinate effectively across teams.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Opportunity to lead QA strategy across multiple products and platforms.
  • Scope to influence automation standards, testing processes, and engineering quality practices.
  • Opportunities to mentor QA professionals and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Salary, healthcare, paid leave, and additional benefits are not specified in the provided job description.
