As Associate Director of Marketing, you will help shape and scale global marketing strategy across brand development, creative production, content, and growth initiatives within the premium hospitality and travel sector. You will lead a distributed team of employees, contractors, and agency partners, ensuring marketing efforts strengthen brand positioning while driving measurable demand and revenue. From social media and performance marketing to distribution partnerships and integrated campaigns, you will oversee initiatives that connect compelling storytelling with commercial results. You will also help optimize marketing operations across thousands of properties and dozens of booking platforms, leveraging AI to improve efficiency, creativity, and performance. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate business objectives into coordinated marketing strategies and scalable execution. This remote leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced hospitality marketer who combines strategic vision, hands-on expertise, and a passion for building high-performing global teams.

Accountabilities:
  • Marketing Team Leadership: Lead the day-to-day activities of a globally distributed marketing team spanning brand, creative, content, photography, social media, performance marketing, SEO, lifecycle marketing, and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Brand Strategy and Positioning: Develop and maintain a consistent brand strategy, tone of voice, and visual identity across all guest and homeowner touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive premium experience.
  • Social Media Strategy: Oversee social media strategy and execution across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms, driving audience engagement, brand awareness, and customer acquisition.
  • Distribution Channel Marketing: Manage marketing initiatives across more than 60 online travel agency (OTA) platforms and direct-booking channels, optimizing property visibility, merchandising, and promotional performance.
  • Integrated Campaign Management: Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned with seasonal travel trends, new market launches, property onboarding, and boutique hotel portfolio initiatives.
  • Performance Marketing Oversight: Guide paid social, paid search, programmatic advertising, affiliate marketing, and attribution initiatives to improve acquisition efficiency and measurable business outcomes.
  • Content and Creative Operations: Build scalable content and photography production processes, overseeing how creative assets are captured, edited, organized, and deployed across a portfolio of more than 3,000 properties.
  • Team Development and Performance Management: Coach team members, manage performance, coordinate collaboration across time zones, and oversee the selection and management of external vendors and agency partners.
  • Budget Management and Reporting: Track marketing budgets, develop forecasts, monitor performance indicators, and provide clear reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • AI-Driven Marketing Innovation: Integrate AI tools into content generation, creative production, media buying, analytics, and operational workflows to increase productivity and improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align brand storytelling, distribution strategy, and growth initiatives with broader commercial objectives, ensuring marketing investments contribute to business performance.
Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of marketing experience, including substantial experience in luxury hospitality, travel, premium vacation rentals, boutique hotels, or comparable high-end travel brands.
  • Brand Strategy Expertise: Demonstrated experience developing, managing, or scaling premium brands, with a strong understanding of positioning, brand identity, and customer experience.
  • Social Media and Content Marketing: Hands-on expertise in social media strategy, content development, and creative marketing, with the ability to build engaging campaigns across multiple digital platforms.
  • Distribution Channel Knowledge: Direct experience managing online travel agency channels, particularly platforms such as Airbnb and Vrbo, with an understanding of listing optimization, distribution marketing, and booking performance.
  • Growth and Performance Marketing: Familiarity with paid acquisition channels, search marketing, affiliate strategies, SEO, lifecycle marketing, CRM, and performance measurement.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Experience managing distributed teams, contractors, and agency partners across creative and growth functions, including coaching, performance management, and resource coordination.
  • AI Tool Proficiency: Strong practical knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and comparable technologies, with the ability to incorporate them into daily workflows and identify opportunities to improve marketing operations.
  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to connect brand-building initiatives with measurable commercial outcomes, evaluate campaign performance, manage budgets, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Project and Operational Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple campaigns, stakeholders, vendors, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken English proficiency at a near-native level, with the ability to communicate effectively with distributed teams, external partners, and senior leadership.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: A proactive, hands-on leadership style, with the flexibility to balance strategic planning and operational execution in a dynamic, growth-oriented business.
  • Geographic Eligibility: Candidates must be based outside the United States. Applicants based in Brazil are eligible to apply.
  • Schedule Requirements: Availability to work during US business hours, aligned with Pacific, Central, or Eastern Time.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual base salary: USD $50,000–$80,000, depending on location and experience.
  • Performance-based bonus: 15% of base salary.
