Site Leader – Manufacturing Operations
Reports to: SVP & COO, Americas
Department: Operations
Location: Corry, PA (on-site)
Type: Full‑Time

Role Overview

The Site Leader has full accountability for the overall performance of the manufacturing site, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people outcomes. This role leads daily operations while driving disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional alignment to support profitable, sustainable growth.
The Site Leader sets clear direction and priorities, ensures execution against business and customer commitments, and balances strategic leadership with hands‑on operational engagement. This role champions a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement aligned with AMFT values.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Site Leadership
  • Lead and manage all site operations to ensure consistent performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
  • Drive a safety‑first culture and ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, environmental, and employment requirements.
  • Develop and execute production plans aligned to customer demand and business objectives.
  • Conduct regular site and operational reviews focused on KPIs, corrective actions, and performance trends.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational, quality, and delivery issues.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, maintenance, and support functions.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute productivity, quality, flow, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Lead CAPEX planning, justification, and execution to support growth, safety, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive standardization of processes, tools, metrics, and best practices in alignment with enterprise initiatives.

People Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, managers, and site leadership team members.
  • Build a high‑performance culture grounded in accountability, engagement, and development.
  • Partner with Human Resources on workforce planning, employee relations, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure effective communication, training, and expectation‑setting across all levels of the site.

Cross‑Functional & Commercial Partnership
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to support growth, customer requirements, and margin objectives.
  • Support new product introductions, product transfers, and capability alignment at the site.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to support supplier performance, inventory optimization, and working‑capital targets.

Financial & Strategic Ownership
  • Own site level budget execution, cost control, and productivity performance.
  • Partner with Finance to align operational performance with financial targets.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on site performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to broader operational strategy and enterprise initiatives as a member of the leadership team.

Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Proven success leading plant or site operations with full operational accountability.
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and performance management.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Multi‑site manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management required.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through structure, influence, and accountability.
