Job Description
Location: St. George, UT
Travel: 30%–50% during the first 6 months; less than 20% thereafter
At MMT, we develop innovative automation systems, custom machinery, material handling solutions, and advanced tooling that support the medical device and manufacturing industries. We are seeking an Electromechanical Engineer I to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge electrical and electromechanical solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on design, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs), electrical enclosures, and wire harnesses.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing drawings.
- Test, troubleshoot, and refine PCB designs and associated programming.
- Support certification efforts, including CE compliance for proprietary components and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support equipment manufacturing and product development.
- Provide technical support to field service technicians and customers as needed.
- Manage engineering projects and documentation through SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Up to 5 years of experience in PCB design, electrical component design, or a related engineering role.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks; CSWP or CSWE certification is a plus.
- Experience with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T standards.
- Experience using PCB design software such as PCBWorks, KiCad, or Altium Designer.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical device industry experience.
- Experience designing electrical wire harnesses, connectors, and contacts.
- Experience with electrical cabinet layout design.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 requirements.
- Experience supporting product certifications, including CE compliance.
