Title: Industrial Piping Designer
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Division: Enerfab Power & Industrial
Direct Report: BIM Piping System Designer
Company Summary:
Enerfab has over 120 years of experience, offering fabrication and construction capabilities to a wide variety of customers for the chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, heavy industrial and power industries. Founded in 1901, our company began making sealants and lacquers — including a patented formula for brewer’s pitch — for beer tanks and vessels. Over the last century, our expanded capabilities, project experience, safety record, and commitment to quality have made Enerfab one of the industry leaders in shop fabrication, field erection and construction and maintenance services.
The Piping Designer supports senior designers, engineers, and project teams in the development of piping models and fabrication drawings for industrial and mechanical piping systems. This role focuses on spool drawing generation, 3D modeling assistance, and drawing production utilizing SpoolFab, Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and related software platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of piping systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, ASTM material specifications, and fabrication processes. Working under the guidance of experienced designers and engineers, the Piping Designer, I will assist in interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, and 3D models to produce accurate, fabrication-ready spool drawings and supporting documentation.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career designer with 1–2 years of experience who is seeking to develop advanced piping design and detailing skills in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This role will be located primarily in Cincinnati, OH with some travel to project sites.
